Marketing and Social Media Manager, Part-Time
Reports to Store Owner, Ken Fernandes
Overview: The Social Media and Marketing Manager develops, implements, and manages social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and business sales results. This position is responsible for creating and curating engaging content, managing social media presence, and analyzing performance data for the Fernandes’ three businesses, Fernandes Lumber & Ace Home Center, Fernandes Ace Handyman Services and Fernandes Paint & Decorating. This position also participates in marketing and sales activities and serves as a sales and customer service advocate for the three businesses, plans in-store events, participates in community outreach and Chamber of Commerce meetings to maintain strong presence in the Easton and Brockton areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with Fernandes Ace corporate marketing team (Soci Assist) to craft and implement comprehensive social media strategies aligned with overall marketing goals. Develop diverse content formats (text, images, videos, etc.) for various platforms and ensure brand consistency.
- Using Ace’s corporate platform (Soci) to manage social media accounts, including scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and responding to reviews and inquiries.
- Tracking key performance indicators and generating reports to assess the effectiveness of social media efforts and identify areas for improvement.
- Managing social media advertising campaigns, including budget allocation, targeting and optimization.
- Serving as Fernandes Sales Advocate writing “Weekly Update” internal associate newsletter and other printed materials related to sales goals and achievements.
- Consistently monitor store survey respondents and send email (template available) response within 8 hours.
- Designing and printing collateral materials such as special store signage, banners, direct mail pieces, and fliers.
- Project planning for Fernandes’ in-store ACE BBQ Parties and other special events deemed appropriate by the management team. Serve as on-site coordinator at each event. Manage budgets and promotions for each event.
- Managing and submitting co-op reimbursement forms for Benjamin Moore programs.
Skills Required:

Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, communications, PR, business or related field
- Experience in retail is a plus, but not required
- Comfortable representing company in public
- Experience using Microsoft programs, spreadsheets, Outlook, Canva, and other scheduling platforms
Part-Time Paint Associate, *Weekends hours required
Reports to: Paint Department Manager
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Accurately mix paints using a computerized tinting machine
- Ability to match and coordinate colors
- Acknowledging customers and inquiring about their project or problem and providing solutions
- Assisting customers with their paint projects by offering helpful advice
- Assisting in other departments or with other job duties as assigned by Manager
- Participate in special promotions and meet sales goals for the store/department
Required skills:
- Retail or contractor paint experience preferred, but not required
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Selling experience and skills
- Excellent listening and oral communication skills
- Highly motivated, friendly and eager to expand knowledge
- Position requires standing and walking throughout the day and includes occasional heavy lifting (often 50 lbs.)
- Available to work weekends
Part-Time Cashier
Reports to: Store Manager
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Assist customers with sales transactions at registers
- Assist in the receiving, stocking, and pricing of merchandise, as needed.
- Greet customers entering the store; thank customers leaving the store
- Learn products, promotions and store layout to assist customers
- Proactively assist customers in solving problems
- Participate in store events, special promotions and meet sales goals for the store
Required skills:
- Retail experience preferred, but not required
- Exceptional customer service skills
